In 2009, Ford will bring out a braking technology similiar to their subsidary co. Volvo. This kind of technology has been seen in MB models. Now it's trickling down to the common models. Good or Bad?

They keep making it easier and easier to give drunks the confidence to drive... not good! In my opinion I am not much of a fan of ABS even, being a frequent driver in the snow I like to have complete control of my vehicle.

I'm sorta doubting very many people will decide to go out and get drunk because they drive a new Ford and know the car will take them home safely...
where do these ideas come from? Perhaps you stopped off at the bar on the way to the computer...?
ABS has saved more lives than you could count...

Most drunk accidents are rear end collisions. A drunk person is more likely to be more confident in driving home if they know that their vehicle is capable of thinking for itself as opposed to a vehicle that does not.

The ABS on my subie goes a bit nuts just as the car comes to a complete stop on packed snow. The ABS pulses the brakes allowing the idling engine to continue to move the car when I want it to stop. I make it work by shifting into neutral.

Drunks should only be allowed to drive underpowered go carts when drunk. Carts with lots of flashing lights and a speaker blaring "watch out here comes a drunk"

That would be hilarious! And actually it makes some sense, just put an ignition interlock on it to activate the lights and speaker.
