I got the darned coil changed out quickly and with no problems but the truck will nto turn over. I think that the engine may have siezed up. : ( I guess I will have it towed somewhere to make sure that it is not some other problem, but the starter is pushing and the engine does to turn over. My wife told me taht it made kind of a bang sound when it stalled (did not know that before).

This does not sound good at all. The bang and then won't turn sounds like serious internal engine problems. I doubt it seized per se if it had oil in it, the bang sounds to me more like something broke, maybe the timing chain broke and valve to piston interferance?

Best way out may be a "crate" or ex-junkyard engine, rather than trying to fix what you have. Or sell it as-is as a "mechanic's special".

I really don't anything about your year and model, but do a google on ford forums and there is a site, I believe it's ford_forums.com, the site has a red background and there is a wealth of good information there and the folks reply pretty quick and know what they are talking about. I would go along with you about having it checked out, it may have jumped time. My escort acted like what you desribed and I had to get a new timing belt put in.
