All I know is if I had a 2010 Mustang, I would be one pissed off person! Though, from what my friend told me, the v6 is 24k and the gt is 38k now. That is about 6-8 more than the previous generations for the base v6 and gt.

My friend just ordered a new GT and he paid $32k, And its loaded. You can get it up to 38k but then again my 07 was almost 38 k too
I, for one, would like to see V6TT versions of both the Camaro and 'Stang. Not just for the fuel efficiency benefits, but if it's lighter than the equivalent V8 it will improve weight distribution and handling.
Obviously the V8s won't go away, but something like this to slot between the LT and SS would be great:
In all honesty, the outgoing Mustang GT is languishing towards the bottom of that list (above mostly 4 bangers). Not sure why it wasn't bolded (along with the Caliber).
But an EVO is not something typically cross-shopped against a pony car. Different strokes for different folks. Anyway, it seems Ford has addressed all the apparent shortcomings of the Mustang. Now if Fiat could do something about the Challenger

well the 5.0 was probaby the worst kept secret of the auto industry over the last year or so... so if you bought a 2010 mustang you either didn't inform yourself, or you were ok with it knowing that next year a huge update was coming...

everyone who bought a 2010 knew about the new 5.0 for 011. And it still outsold the camaro..
Just read that the new base V6 is about 300 hp without turbo or direct injection and is smaller than the previous V6. So if you're stuck with a base Mustang, you won't be stuck in the slow lane like with previous Mustang V6 or, even further back, Mustang 4 banger.
It certainly does have direct injection. That's how they get 300HP out of it.
