This car is a step in the right direction, a well built small car that gets good fuel economy and offers some driving fun.

But, it is small and has roots from across the ocean. Therefore, a certain group on this board will immediately find something bad to say about it.

Even if all they can find fault with is the name, and in a vaguely bigoted manner to boot.
I also think of dark skinned men with gold teeth in sombreros rattling maracas and going "yahh yahhh yahhh yeee!!!".

Generally that's sound logic, but keep in mind the Fiesta we're getting has been on sale for a few years over in Europe. Hypothetically, all the bugs should be worked out. Then again, that wasn't the case with the Focus. It had been on sale in Europe for a year or two when it came over, but still the 00-01 models had a number of issues. Hopefully that won't be the case with the Fiesta.

The Fiesta is a good solid value for money car. It’s proved its vale in Europe and I’m pretty excited to see it on the US roads. So what if the name sounds sissy?

It's not the best name, but it matches the car well. Small, light and fun to drive.
