Well, here is the update -

We accepted the bank's offer straight up at 209k on 1-13

6 Days later (today) we just got written bank approval

We have the home inspection on Tuesday, but I'm really excited that this has moved so quickly!

Does anyone know how long I can expect before we can move in?

Thanks!

Awesome! Congrats!

The written approval should have a closing date (usually within 30 days of the letter), your lender, can close any time before that date if everything else is in order. Good luck!

My experience was a quick closing. We were notified on October 31st and had to close within 3 weeks. Our only contingency of an inspection was done a week after confirmation and closing was 2 weeks later. I was on vacation, had to send a cousin to the inspection and then found a 3 day window to go out for closing! Stressful but in hindsight, so worth it.
