Default sussex turnpike House in Randolph, NJ

Hi All:
How is the area on Sussex Turnpike in Randolph, nj? I have been looking for some houses located by Dover-chester rd and Park Ave since they are close to Rt 10 somehow. My concern is that on the Map; I see a river running close to that street. Is this a flood area? I am also concerned about the heavy vegetation behind and very very close to the homes. Will a lot of insect and ticks will enter the house? Is there a lot of accidents related to falling trees? I also noticed that a lot of these homes have wells, so there are a lot of water running under the houses causing flooding etc.

I have never owned a house and we have a new born baby, no pets. I like the town, but I have never lived so close to woody areas. I just want to buy a house that will not bring a lot of headaches. I do not want to deal with flooded rooms, crazy insects, removing big trees from the proprty, etc. Always I have live in major cities and apartments, so all of this is new.

I thank you for your help and your input....

You will likely get a more informed response if you pose your question in the NJ forum.

You can and should also independently confirm flood areas.
