Hi everyone, I am currently trying to buy a short sale, and initially things were moving pretty fast.
Dec. 4th - Short sale package submitted
Dec. 11th - Negotiator was assigned
Dec. 19th - BPO was done
Dec. 31st - Counter was received from bank...we stood firm at our price.
Jan. 8th - We were notified that the short sale file has been moved to a closing agent.
Jan. 14th - Bank postponed the auction date and said they would move forward with short sale.
So my question is what is the role of the closing agent? Could the bank still counter at this point? It seems like now we are moving VERY slowly. Anyone get a approval soon after being being moved to a closing agent??
Thanks for any input! I really hope we get our approval soon!!
