There is a property I really wanted but it is in "pending" stage. Does this mean I do not have a chance in h---of trying to buy it ? Can't things go wrong and if they can what usually goes wrong ? Thanks
It is under contract.
Other than that, MLS statuses vary among various MLSs, and the meaning of "Pending" may vary too..
Here it means that the house is not available to be shown. You could still write a back up offer, but it may not be possible to arrive at a back up contract.
Patience is not my virtue. The house I want is a short sale PLUS a pending one. What time frame am I looking at and what is the usual hold up ? I have an approved loan all ready to go .. Should I look for other properties while I am waiting ? There is not much to choose from where I want to live. West Central FL. Mini Farm. Can I call the bank if I can find the one that has it and get some answers ? This waiting is killing me. If I can't get it then ok.......but if there is a chance I want to know. Thanks for letting me vent. But please offer some sound solutions. Thanks

I'd suggest looking for something else. You could be waiting a very very long time. There's a 5+ acre property near me (not FL)........short sale..........been pending now with the bank for 8 months.
You are at a severe disadvantage in a short sale if you are not a cash buyer, at least here in this part of FL.
