Hi, we like thousands people in the U.S., ran into financial difficulties and got behind on our mortgage. We have contacted Alaska Credit Union about our situation and was unable to get or qualify for assitance. Our mortgage is NOT w/ Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac but our lender is Alaska Credit Union. We have decided to try to Short Sale our home and will obviously have a deficiency amount.. Has anyone out there gone through the short sale process w/ Alaska and did they have to still be responsible for the difference?? Right now we have an offer and the offer is far less than what we owe, the offer is now in Escrow awaiting approval from Alaska Credit Union.. Feedback is much appreciated....
