On a short sale? Not that I'm aware of. I've heard of cash for keys on foreclosures but that's it.

Yeah, there was this one short sale home I looked at in Florida and the bank agreed to let this older divorce woman take all the fancy ceiling fans, the curtains, the dining room light fixures with her. The home would have looked a lot like these foreclosure homes I looked at where the previous owners took whatever they could with them. It was specifically written into her short sale contract. It was weird but the real estate agent negogiated with the bank for this woman.

In Texas, window coverings are part of the house too. The blinds are screwed into the walls, and the curtains hang on curtain rods that are "attached" to the walls. Not personal property, but allowed to be disclosed as not remaining as long as the disclosure is within the listing agreement.
