I need to know if there is any recourse to a notice that was posted three business days ago at a residence. The notice heading was "THREE DAY NOTICE TO QUIT". It stated that the property was sold by foreclosure sale to the association. When I inquired with the resident if they were behind on their mortgage payments; he stated that he was current. I reviewed his mortgage transactions and confirmed this to be true. However, the association payments have not been made. Not sure how long they are delinquent; it very well could be 1-2 years. The resident suffers from an illness that has kept him from focusing on day to day responsibilities. Very sad story. What the normal person would interpret as important he has chosen to ignore. He no longer receives his mail since he was not picking it up. The mortgage was getting paid due to the auto withdrawal don't know why the association fee and utilities were not set up like this. I appreciate any information on how to resolve this issue...if it's possible. I have place a call to the attorney's office that generated the notice. The attorney was on vacation so I had leave a message for someone with the law firm to return my call. I intend to call the association in hopes to resolve the delinquent payments. However, I will wait for responses before doing this. I only wish to help this person however, I don't know much about this subject.

Is there a foreclosure hotline available in the state where the property is?
