Default Schools in the Fort Collins area

My husband and I are looking at moving back up to Fort Collins from Boulder County next summer and are curious about opinions on the schools. They have changed so much over the years. I'm also a teacher and want to jump into the district, but know that it's a difficult task. I also want to find good schools for my children, and it seems difficult to find a commonality with Elementary/Jr./Sr High schools.

We're VERY interested at purchasing a house in the Old Town area, and the schools don't seem to be as good there are they are in the southeast. I'd love some insight.
