When doing business in Cheyenne I always stopped in FC. There were 4 or 5 small microbrewers there (not just brewpubs), not counting AB. I recall New Belgium and Odells being two. It worth spending a weekend taking tours.

Follow I-70 west of Denver through some very fabulous mountains until you get to Cameo, CO. There you might have a chance to indulge your taste buds with a mug of BEAR WHIZ BEER. You can also buy some t-shirts with some very unique advertising for that beer. It comes from a "micro-brewery, just like the the Big Sky Brewery in Missoula, MT that makes "MOOSE DROOL". Regardless of the names, they do have good flavor.

Sounds like we need a couple of days just to do a beer crawl. I'm fond of pale ales and IPA's, while my husband loves the Belgium style, is there a brewery that fits that?

Well, you are in luck! According to this website: Belgium King - Top 10 U.S. Brewers of Belgian Style Beer (http://www.belgiumking.com/top10usbrewerys.html - broken link) New Belgium brewery ranks in the top 10 for Belgium style beers in the US. They also have recently started brewing a fantastic beer, Ranger IPA. While I don't like the flagship beer, Fat Tire, I do think New Belgium Brewery has a great selection of beers. You really can't go wrong!

The breweries all have tasting rooms so you can sample many varieties. I also like Coopersmith's beers - if its nice out, a table on the south patio can be great. A great way to tour is by bicycle (provided you don't get too tipsy!) You can rent at the Bike Library downtown, I believe, and all the breweries in FC are close together and close to the downtown/old town area.

Another gem that started last year is Grimm Brothers brewhouse in nearby Loveland, serving a variety of German style beers.

PNW, short for Pacific Northwest.
