Default Observatory Village

I saw some really cute patio homes in a development called Observatory Village which is right across the street from Fossil Ridge High School. Can anyone tell me about the area? Is there really an observatory there? I also love the community pool. Does living near a high school have any down sides in regards to student parking and noise? Any and all information will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

There is a real observatory in the village. They open it up on a regular basis for community events.

I sold a patio home directly across from the high school athletic fields this summer and have not yet heard any negatives from the buyers (though school just started this week). The main entrance to the school and the school parking lots is from a main road on the other side of the school, so the majority of the traffic is not on the neighborhood streets. The students are supposed to park in the student parking lot, which is ample size to accommodate the number of students.

The athletic fields are used for many events, but not varsity football games (held across town at French Field), so extra large crowds are not as common. I have noticed some folks parking on the neighborhood streets in the patio home area during district track meets.

Good luck in your search.

Yes, there is real observatory and Colorado State even holds classes there at times. The pool is awesome. I have sold a few on there lately and it is really starting to get busy in there with activity from all the new construction. They are starting the next phase of Observatory Village and most people I know love the community in there. I even have a neighborhood group on Facebook if you would like to take a look. In regards to traffic when there are softball games and tennis matches there will be cars lined up but it's not bad just between 5-7pm. I hope this helps.
