Default Is Fort Collins the Best College Town in the USA?

My family and I are looking to relocate from Massachusetts to someplace cheaper, friendlier and fun. We have 3 kids age 8 and under and like to have lots of museums and outdoor stuff to do with them. My husband is a Nurse Practitioner and I am interested in pursuing a doctorate in Education or Ed. Psych. We have been looking at the South, but a friend said I was crazy--that Fort Collins was a great place to be.

We are looking for mild winters, no humidity summers, good coffee shops and a place that welcomes cultural diversity. My husband is Colombian and my kids are bilingual in English and Spanish and we would love to have some Hispanic culture for the kids.

We currently homeschool, but are also interested in good public schools as an option for the future. Also, we are hoping to settle somewhere so wonderful that we would never want to relocate and our kids would also want to stay and raise their own families there.

Is this Fort Collins????

Thanks!

I have college friends in Ft Collins (they stayed) whose kids attend public school there and their kids all grew up learning Spanish because of the bilingual education there.
I've always thought that Ft Collins would be a wonderful place to raise kids, and apparently it is.
The South has its good points, but non-humid summers cannot be included in that description.

Thanks for a quick response! Public bilingual education would be a big plus for us!
