I have a 6 years old son that has autism. His concern is lack of communication skill, social skill and highly distracted. And we are moving from east coast, and wondering how good is Thompson District School for this need (special education). And which elementary school has special education/autism program.

I would think that east coast approaches to autism would be of higher quality, priority, and significance. But that's just my impression and opinion. Maybe someone can state a way of comparing them with actual data and statistics.

I would not discount the services of R2J to deal with special needs, but certainly research and get referrals.
I have found it to be a very reasonable district in a very caring, safe, and resourceful community.

Default Recommendation

We will be moving to Loveland in a couple of months. We have a 12 year old high functioning autistic son, could recommend a middle school with a good special needs program for him?
