Generally, would you say Fort Collins is more liberal or more conservative?

Is it 50/50? 60/40? 70/30? And toward which way?

I'd say:

Liberal: 40
Moderate: 35
Conservative: 25

So, a bit more to the left. There are hardcore people at both ends of the spectrum though. I try to stay away from both.

P.S. Don't leave out the moderates!

It is a college town. Think Boulder Lite.

Please point out where the data on political leanings on an area are on that page. I cannot seem to find it.

I think Fort Collins leans pretty far left and is becoming more liberal over time.

It is a college town. Our colleges are predominantly socialist now. Not left leaning but extremely left wing. Militant left wing. Not as extreme as Boulder though.

You will find some conservatives in the business, economics, engineering and science schools.

College campuses have grown so extreme that traditional professors are advising todays youth to stay out of college. It does more harm than good.

Administrators have infiltrated and multiplied like cockroaches. Expensive administrators are one of the big reasons that college has grown so prohibitively expensive. Plus the libraries are required to buy graduate study papers at $10/page. About 90% are never read a single time.

Just my opinion though I spend considerable time studying macro trends.

Way down towards the bottom of it are voting results.

Lol. ”traditional professors are advising today’s youth to stay out of college”

I’m pretty sure you just made that up. Not many scientists, doctors, or engineers without college degrees. 99% of the successful business people I work with went to college. Those who didn’t finish in undergrad ended up going back later in life because the lack of the degree was stunting their career growth.

The anti science Republican wing is not ingratiating themselves to the science department. Most scientists identify themselves as liberal. Economists lean liberal. General business majors are split about 50/50.

As for FoCo, definitely a good mix in that town politically.

It lists the voting percentages for the presidential elections going back to 1996. It's actually for Larimer County, and I'd guess FoCo is probably a little more "blue" than the county.
