Default Safe areas of town

I had someone tell me how great Loveland was and how you can leave your doors unlocked and your cell phone sitting on the seat and someone wouldn't take it. Is Loveland really a "leave your doors unlocked" city?

I am not sure who told you that but I do not agree at all. It is not a high crime rate like say Aurora but crime happens in Loveland everyday. Sure there are times when you will get lucky and not have anything happen to your house or car but I would not take the chance!!!! If you are interested in crime in the area you should look at the local city websites under their police section. You can look at Loveland and Fort Collins city sites and Larimer County Sheriffs office.

I agree with Tom.

See this thread for link to the FC crime stats via an interactive map:

Just click on the "crime" option on the left to switch to that mode.
