Fort Collins Area Community Websites?
Hi - I am interested to know if there are any Fort Collins area community websites besides this one ?
I live in a great area of NYC called Astoria and we have a site: www.Astorians.com that has become a real community. It's fun to swap suggestions, meet new people, discuss everything under the sun, buy/sell things, etc.
If not for the Fort Collins are specifically, what about for Denver? Or Colorado in general?

I am not aware of any Fort Collins community websites specifically, but craigslist is good to buy/sell, and does have some other features that would be good. I do know that the local colleges have web pages for their students. I am not sure if you can get to them without being a student though.

www.nocomoms.com
If you can get past the amount of threads of people offering to watch kids, or looking for childcare, then you might find this helpful. There are doctor recommendations, restaurant chatter, recipes..etc.

I would be open to starting one, I find it odd that FC doesn't already have a community forum type site though

Not a bad idea if you can market it to get people to join. One other one I am aware of in addition to NoCoMoms | Where Moms Connect is the local newspaper's forum (and article commenting system):
coloradoan.com | Fort Collins PluckForum | The Coloradoan,

That would be great. I agree that it's odd. FC seems like the sort of town that would really utilize such a site. Once I move out there, I'll be happy to be a major contributor.

Great Idea. I am not much of a computer wiz but would help wherever I can.

Here is a forum that a couple set up when they moved here from Baltimore. They don't have a way to advertise so the people on there are mostly through word of mouth. I was specifically looking for a forum in the area and managed to stumble across it. It is quite slow right now with a few posts a day to a few posts a week.
If it would get some more membership it could be a good forum.

Dave,
Thanks for the link! I had joined this site a long time ago. I don't think they are big on advertising other sites here. I tried to fix your post with our forum link and it doesn't work for me either, maybe because we're junior members?
I get the same thing: www.rockymtnreviewforums.com
I'll have to check out the threads here, it looks pretty interesting!
