Default Coming to Fort Collins

My husband and I are originally from the UK (South London) and are looking to relocate to Fort Collins from Florida.
Florida is just too hot and humid for me and as my husbands work is internet based we can live practically anywhere , budget permitting.
We are visiting in August and was wondering where anyone would recommend we stay and also if anyone knew a realtor who was any good. Dont want some cheesey sales person, just someone who listens to our needs.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Ft. Collins was a great place 20-30 years ago. Since then, it has grown too large for me. But maybe that's what you're looking for.

I don't really have any contacts there anymore since most of my family has since moved elsewhere. Sorry.

One thing though:

You will still get hot summers there. Temperatures in the 90s are not really rare. But, unlike Florida, it is a dry heat and summer doesn't last for 8 months. The winters there are definitely lots colder than the UK, but again, they don't last forever. You'll get a healthy amount of snow, but it isn't like North Dakota or anything.

If you visit and decide it is too large and busy, you should check out Loveland, a nearby city that is much smaller and has a bit quieter pace -- but still very close to both Denver and Ft. Collins.
