Hey all!

Was wondering if there are houses in the Fort Collins area under $200,000 with an acre or more of land?

Also, is there good bass fishing nearby?

THANKS!!

According to our MLS, as of this morning there are 33 properties available on an acre or more and under $200k. Most of these are cabins and smaller homes in the mountains west and north-west of town. There are also a handful on the plains north-east of town. Either way, the commute is probably 30 - 45 minutes to Fort Collins.

As for the bass fishing question, I am not a fisherman, so have left a message for a friend who is an avid fisherman. If I get the information before someone else answers your question, I'll post an answer.

Have a great day,
Mike Weber

Here is the answer from my friend regarding bass fishing in Northern Colorado:

"I have heard of good bass fishing around Loveland. I have personally caught a 3 lb largemouth at Prospect ponds. Horsetooth Reservoir has some excellent smallmouth bass fishing, but a warning not to eat many of them because of high mercury levels in the water. Trout is the main fishery in the mountains, but there are lots of bass on the plains. Bass are not as plentiful as in the East. He will want to learn trout fishing, and that is huge in Colorado of course."

This is a list of statewide bass fishing resources he provided in his e-mail. The links did not copy, but a Google search should reveal those links.

I hope that helps.
