Wow....is all I can really come up with. Had I known how bad it would really be, I would have never moved here. Can anyone suggest where to look or any where that is hiring LPN's or Caregiver's etc. All the jobs I have been offered are 8 hr. Any Suggestions? Will it get better once the college kids have left for the summer?

I would have thought nursing would be a very big open field. My daughter is an RN here in OK but her and her husband want to move to Fort collins next year and I know she was counting on getting a decent 40 hour a week RN job. Hope she knows what she is doing.

Ft Collins is not much affected by the 'nursing shortage.' I would advise her to make sure she has a job in place before relocating.

Sorry to hear about your luck. Have you tried applying to the Columbine Facilities? Apply online at Columbine Health Systems - columbine cares for seniors They are hiring right now. I know they like their LPN to have experience but if you don't, you can always apply for a different position like cna, caregiver etc. They take a really long time to get back to most people (like myself when I applied). Also, I know the sava facilities are more open to hire new grads. Just keep at it...DON'T QUIT!!!!!! You will find a position soon enough. Good Luck!
