Which grocery store would you/do you shop at on a regular basis. We are coming to Florida for 9 days and i am looking for good deals for groceries. Is there a Super Walmart or Super Target near that area now? Do they have double coupons? Do i have to apply for a frequent shopper card to get the items on sale? Thanks.

there is a super wal-mart on hillsboro boulevard (around lyons road, i think). there is also a super target on hillsboro, and another target that is incorporating a grocery store this month on federal (between hillsboro & sw 10th in deerfield).

i wouldn't recommend either, though.
i'm a publix guy, personally. theres a legit one on the corner of hillsboro & federal, and another just north on federal highway right over the border to palmn beach (federal & camino real, i think).

Publix is the best grocery store in this area, and they are all over the place.

Winn-Dixie is cheaper and caters more to the lower-income crowd. You can save $ there, but their food is not as fresh and their selection is more limited.

Super-Target, Wal-Mart, etc. are lower-income shoppers and poor selection, but you can find some good deals on certain products there.

There is also a Costco in the area on Sample Road near Powerline Road (I think). But you need a membership to shop there. If you already have a Costco membership, that might be a good bet.

But seeing that you are only here 9 days, if you want the best food possible, go to Publix.
