Default Lauderhill, Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beeach have highest divorce rates in the Nation

Lauderhill has the highest divorce rate in the country, and Pompano and Deerfield tie for 3rd place.

Any opinions on why?

You know what else is strange?

Weston has the highest marriage rate in the country! I guess you can't blame excessive materialism .

Just saw it on CBS News. Odd! When the story goes online I will be sure to post it.

This is my 666th post, too !

If I had to guess, I'd link it to financial classes. Money is often a sore point with couples and I'm supposing the less of it you have, the more sore that point becomes. This is coming from a divorced man. :P

I think that those communities are far from the poorest in the country, while Weston is hardly the wealthiest (even if it is ONE of the wealthiest)

Well, what determines the divorce rate?

According to city-data, the percentage of people 15 and older who are divorced:

Lauderhill 11.5%
Pompano Beach 12.7%
Deerfield Beach 12.3%
Hallandale Beach 12.9%
Weston 6.9%

Wow, they state 18% are divorced in Lauderhill. I wonder why the large discrepancy between that and city-data's info.
