Pembroke Pines plans to pump millions of gallons of treated sewage into water supply - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com

This is so disgusting. That is why I've been buying drinking water. Even the one you buy GOD only knows where it came from.
Every since I moved to FL my skin started itching because of the water, so I bought shower filter...it helps a little now bathe in water from sewage NOOO

Is this the reason I have uncomfortable dry skin?? I can't just wear any fabric, or else I get skin rashes. This usually happens after taking a shower. Also, my hair gets damaged every time I shower - feels like it's been burned.

The process has not begun yet so it is doubtful that it is causing your problems. PP plans to inject treated sewage into water supply. "Plans to" being future tense.
Interesting article. Thanks for posting.

Just think of it this way. I had some tacos, went to the bathroom, flushed it, and it ended up showering on your hair, used to cook your pasta, and in your soup bowl.

Who are the rocket scientists who come up with these ideas?

Pembroke Pines will hardly be the first to process their sewage this way. From the article cited above-

West Palm Beach, Sunrise, Tindall Hammock, Pahokee, Wellington (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/community/news/wellington?track=tax-wellington - broken link) and Homestead pump their purified sewage into wetlands, lakes or fields, where it percolates into the aquifer over a period of months or years.

Those six utilities now pump a combined 6.5 million gallons of purified sewage into the water supply each day. Pembroke Pines' plan would double that.

This is a long time coming, Nevulis said. The rest of the state already pumps much of its sewage back into its water supplies, and South Florida is behind.
