Is Pine Island Ridge a good place to buy? (Davie: condo, townhouse)

We are looking to purchase a townhouse/condo in Davie. We have moved from Michigan to South Florida (really big change!!). We saw this condo a few days ago at Sabal Palm, in Pine Island Ridge area. It looks really nice and well-kept place and my wife loves it. I'm just concerned whether the area is safe. Can someone give opinions on this? Is it a good place to start a family? Also, what is the price range of condo in Pine Island Ridge, specifically Sabal Palm? Thanks

Yes, it is a very stable and nice area... We used to live in Whitehall sub-division in Pine Island Ridge and now live less than a mile away from there. About the price, it really depends upon the number of bed, size, condition, distressed v/s non-distressed.... lot of factors. I am sure you realtor should be able to give you recent comps for the sub-division and you can go from there.

I would say probably between 75K - 100K.
