Southeastern Florida is no place to raise Children PERIOD! However, some people have no choice due to work or lack of other options. If you find yourself in this unfortunate set of circumstance then first I want to say I can sympathize then I want to say work day and night to get your Family to a better place.

Before anyone scolds me about what I posted I want to acknowledge a few things...

1. I grew up in South Florida and lived there twenty years.
2. I know this post provides what to many would seem to be just good old fashioned common sense.
3. I am sure those that read #2 will agree good old fashioned common sense appears to be in very short supply in the past 10-12 years in this Country.

But post #2 can be anywhere in America. Kid shot by cops in St Louis, let the looting begin this week. Trayvon was from Miami, gets killed in Orlando. Chicago is way out of hand, etc...... So while I would avoid Miami Gardens, trouble can be found anywhere in the country/world....Mayberry USA was a TV show, not a lifestyle.

Crime is very bad there. You don't want to live there unless you have no other choice...even then NO. The only time I am there is for the Miami Hurricanes and Dolphins games because the stadium is there. Funny thing is when they show the stadium on tv they also show you pictures of south beach. Some people will be in for a surprise if they expect to see that when they are going to Sunlife stadium lol.

i am seriously beginning to wonder if people just slander miami and miami-dade county to feel cool because they live in a dangerous area.
I believe so or that people can't read as this should be on the Miami Forum , of course it could be both.
