We are moving to Florida from KC area. I found a great home located in the area of NE 2nd in Dania Fl. I know its close to FLL, but how is the neighborhood, crime, flooding issues, and resale value? Thanks for your time and help.

I would think twice about that area, particularly in terms of resale. It's very close to (or on top of?) Dania Jai-Alai which isn't the prettiest thing to look at and a source of a lot of traffic as well as crime concerns.
The canal inlets a block away (NE 2nd Place) could be a concern in terms of storm surge from a major hurricane as well.

NE 2nd St. is a decent part of Dania. I lived there years ago. Never had any problems with flooding or crime. Stay east of US 1 in Dania and you're fine.

Dania is sort of nice east of US1, but from US1 west to 95 it is a hell hole. The positives of Dania are that you are right near the beach, right below Fort Lauderdale, and the traffic is light in the area except for US1 during rush hours. You are also right near the airport for convenience. The negatives of Dania are the crime and riff-raff west of US1, abundance of low rent apartments and motels on US1, low laying nature of the area conducive to flooding, and bad traffic on US1 during rush hours.
