Please help. My mother is coming to visit from Philly and bringing 2 friends— they are pretty active 65 year olds. I need some ideas on what to do with them. They like the outdoors and social settings.

Any ideas?

First thing that came to mind for no particular reason, except it is a fun thing to do for active people

Florida Everglades Holiday Park

Just my opinion, but Florida Everglades Holiday Park was the worst airboat ride I have ever taken. Why not consider a tram ride at Shark Valley @ Everglades National Park.Welcome to Shark Valley Tram Tours You could try an airboat ride nearby at Coopertown, and then eat Frog Legs or Alligator at their little restaurant. My mom (same age bracket) loves http://www.butterflyworld.com

I haven't been here, but it is next on the list of places my mom wants to see: Home Flamingo Gardens (I don't know why the link says, "home.")

Enjoy your visit.

Butterfly World is wonderful--beautiful and clean. It's interesting for all ages. Be sure to see the butterfly museum behind the screened area. Roses are lovely some months of the year. I highly recommend it. Everyone we took there has thoroughly enjoyed. it. Even when our grandson was <1 yr old we took him and have a pic of a butterfly sitting on his little bare toe--adorable.
