Cultural diversity is what makes Weston, Fl an incredible place to live and raise a family. I have lived in Weston for 10 years now and I just love it. Schoold are all A+ because of cultural influences from many countries. There is something for everyone within the city limits, except noise, traffic and large malls be safe!

the venezuelans living in weston , most dont speak any english , and alot dont' care about american culture . the majority are here because chavez made their greedy , wealthy lives a big hassle . ask any venezuelan living in weston if he or she could go back home but with chavez gone , and they'd been on a jet tommorrow .

if i had kids i would never live in SO Florida . Melbourne , vero , hobe sound or sarasota are much better choices for families .

hi i'm the OP and just want to update this thread. we ended up in The Lakes community and are thrilled ! we ended up getting everything in our wish list with the price tag we were looking for. 4 bed, pool, lake, AND elbow room. that's the best part, we are nearly on a 1/2 acre lot with great parking for $370k. only negative was that it was a short sale that took 8 long agonizing months to close. nearly had a nervous breakdown lol. i kid but shortsales are surely not for everyone. so exited to be in weston!!

I am a vivid cyclist and jogger and trust me when I tell you that Weston is one of the few cities in South Florida that is friendly to sharing the road. There is a beautiful home in Weston waiting for all of us, you just have to know where to look.
