I agree with Linda above. Different strokes for different folks. I do agree (we left Weston in 06) Weston has mostly spanish speaking people, that did bother me a bit, but not enough as the benefits and happiness we had while living there far outweighed the language problems we had.

The older area of bonaventure will have lower rental prices. you can rent condo, townhouse, even single family. There are options and only you can make best decision for you & your family.

Good Luck!!

I agree with loribell38 and Linda, the Bonaventure neighborhood within Weston has more affordable alternatives. And your commute would be very easy.

Try nearby Davie or Cooper City, You will find some decent rental places in West Davie. Traffic is not too bad if you stick west of University.

Weston is not 85% Venezuelan .... it is approximately 45% Hispanic of which most are well to do and professional .. 50% white non Hispanic and 5% other ..i.e. Asians , Europeans and people from The Caribbean ... I lived in Weston for four years and thought it was a great place to live .... your post is very ignorant ... by the way Venezuelans make up maybe one third of the Hispanic population there .. by the way I am sure Weston is a better place by your not living there .

Weston does not have mostly Spanish speaking people ... that is simply not true .. yes many people speak Spanish there ... but you hear a lot more English and the Hispanics there are generally well off and professional ... when I lived there they were also a lot nicer than some of our "white " neighbors from New York and New Jersey ... the only areas that I recall that had majority of Spanish speakers were the rentals in Bonaventure and some areas of Savanna .
