Oakland ParK/Witlon Manors, Florida, Broward County-REPLY Please
Was hoping to start a thread about the Pro's and con's of living in Oakland Pk/Wilton Manors. I know it sounds alot like the other thread, about Coconut Creek, but am seeking much needed advice about advantages and disadvantages, about living, and purchasing home in the area. I am leaving NY to Flkorida on full time basis, and being from New York, some friends had suggested Oakland PK/Wilton Manors, because it's as close to a NY feel with flavor and spice as your going to get in South Florida. My main and primary concern would be safety in the area. I had read some posts and threads about how alot of people on site spoke about Lauderhill, being a war zone, so I figured you would know where, what area's to stay away from, and safe area's where one can go for an evening, or early morning jog, and hopefully not worry about getting mugged, and if getting mugged, at least they take your wallet and dont pump you with bullets,lol.
