He thinks many outside Florida don't recognize the name Broward but associate Fort Lauderdale with fun and sun....so he wants to change the county's name to "Lauderdale County"

^^^ yes and a big waste of money to repaint all the signs, county vehicles, etc. and reprint all the brochures, forms and paperwork the county uses every day. This is almost as dumb as making everyone get new ugly license plates.
