I've been casually looking at homes for sale in Broward County for some time. I've contacted three separate realtors over the past 1.5-2 years and after sending me MLS listings of terrible homes and never getting back in touch with me after multiple emails and voicemails I just gave up. Is there a place on city data to recommend a good realtor or choose someone who is aggressive enough in this market to continue advocating and searching for a house? I feel like I'm having to do it all myself and spoon feed the realtors MY searches. Aren't they supposed to be working for me?!

I'm not on a strict timeline, but I am on a strict budget and know I need to move fast when it comes to putting in an offer etc. I know the perfect house is out there, I just need someone to help me find it!

If you've had some help from a Realtor and it sounds like you've looked yourself for quite some time, then perhaps your expectations of the market are different than the professionals. I always tell people this, you'll need to change your price or your expectations of the product, no different than buying a car. Now prices and mortgage rates are going up so time is of the essence.

You either need to be in a right place at the right time or give a list of expectations/features your dream house "must have" to realtor to narrow the search. But don't expect to sit and wait for them because they are "supposed to work for you"; it will take for ever. The best results we had by checking listings on our own, using a realtor to schedule appointments and then to handle a process.
