What ever happened to the new Walmart that was coming to Wilton Manors? Walmart bought the K-Mart & Holsum Bread property's on East Oakland Park Blvd. about a year and a half ago they announced. Whats the latest? Anyone know anything? thnx.

I heard it was gonna be a Walmart Neighborhood Market. I think it would be good there since it's on Oakland Park Blvd and not near Wilton Drive.

A Walmart in Wilton Manors?

My guess is Bloomingdales would be a better fit!

There is no Walmart coming to Wilton Manors; it is coming to Oakland Park.

The Kmart's lease runs another year so, then demolition will take place and the Walmart built.

Walmart is currently meeting with City staff to develop the design features of the new Walmart. I would expect a 2016 opening.

Actually, you are correct. It is in the city of oakland park, right on the manors border. Just wanted to note that demolition has begun on the old buildings there.

Lazy? More like crazy...which is what you have to be to voluntarily drive to Lauderhill!
