I'm assuming you're limiting this to Fort Lauderdale/Broward County in particular? If so (at least in my view), the only true "gayborhood" in Broward would be Wilton Manors. When I lived in South Florida several years back I had many gay friends who also lived in the Las Olas area of downtown Fort Lauderdale, but I wouldn't really consider that a gayborhood, per se.

If your geographic range is a bit broader, South Beach is also definitely worth considering. I personally always preferred the demographic there to the one in Wilton - not to mention the fact that's it's a much more urban environs, one of the only truly "urban" places in all of Florida - but that of course is a matter of personal preference.

What is so great about Wilton Manor? I thought it was buried and far from everything, or am I missing something? Of course, I only drove through it once....

OP was looking for gayborhoods in (I'm assuming) metro FTL, or South Florida. Wilton Manors fits the mold, hence why it's been mentioned here so much.

It's a quaint little suburb not far to downtown FTL and the beach. Pretty safe, though areas surrounding it aren't the greatest in the world IMHO. Also rates relatively high in terms of urban feel/walkability for a community in Florida.
