There are I know a lot of positives to this beautiful city, I know it is not perfect, so no bashing please.

I will love Fort Lauderdale once again as soon as they repeal that ban on feeding the homeless on public property. That is heartbreaking and it's doing the opposite of helping businesses look prettier. It's making lots of people not want to come to such a place that treats its own homeless with such poor morale.

I don't think it's diverse when it comes to people or cultures, really. I wouldn't say it's welcoming either. And definitely not urban oriented, I don't think you're thinking about our Ft. Lauderdale lol.

Mines are nice beaches, not far from the City or the Beach. Okay nightlife. I think that's it lol.

As opposed to the inviting picture that a bunch of homeless people paint?

Gimme a break, let me see statistics that correlate. Fort Lauderdale has kicked out in the past spring-breakers who were rowdy and yet the masses keep coming.

I believe this is supposed to be a positive thread, thank you,

Respecting perry335654's request to keep it positive, here goes:

The inland waterways, Las Olas Boulevard, the Performing Arts Center and the nearby Museum of Discovery and Science, good restaurants of all types, the water taxi. Events that are distinctive to the area, such as the holiday boat parade. Pro and major college sports in the metro area (even though most of our teams aren't that successful, nice to have them here). The Everglades, Keys and Bahamas all close by.

Lets not forget the FREE water trolley, a great plus for the area IMHO.
