Default Jewish Broward for Young Family

All

We are beginning thoughts of a move to South Florida in the Broward area.

Can anyone recommend key jewish communities where there are plenty of young families and jewish schools within a short distance. We would be looking for a 'typical' nice family home in the mid-range.

So far we have looked around the Plantation area and Coral Springs but am open to suggestions which we will investigate further before we visit next time.

Many thanks

Andy

I don't know if you're looking at Dade or Palm Beach counties as well, but in Dade there is Aventura, Mid Beach (41st St area of Miami Beach) - though these are very expensive! - & North Miami Beach which all have large Jewish communities! The most affordable would be NMB. Of course there's Boca Raton, & I believe Tamarac in Broward as well. By now there's not that much of a price difference between the counties. I would recommend Dade & NMB, but I'm biased!
I suggest google-ing all those areas. Good luck & welcome to FL!

I would have to say the Coral Springs/Boca area. I lived in Coral Springs for a bit over 10 years and can tell you there is a nice sized Jewish community in the area. My husband's parents live in Coral Springs and are within walking distance to their synagogue. As far as Boca, there are a greater number of private Jewish schools ranging anywhere from kindergarten/elementary to 12th grade.

Hope this link makes it....just a directory to private schools in Boca...

Hallandale and Hollywood have large Jewish populations--mainly along the beach.
