We are in the area and are hunting for places.
We found a nice plaza in Plantation (or Davie?), where there is a brand new Whole Foods and a creative type of store like Michaels. What do you think of that location? (University and Peters rd)
Also, we checked out a relatively New plaza in Pines (Hiatus and Pines Blvd).
Thanks again for all your input.
Sounds like some have the wrong idea of your plans or maybe I do. Here in Melbourne we have a shop I go to with my friend from England to get things from "home". They sell on line, too. Julie's British Shoppe Is this similar to what you want to start? It seems to do really well here in Brevard County.

You should do well at University and Peters. There are a variety of stores there that all seem to be extremely busy; the location (near 595) would be good for you, as you will likely need to advertise all across Broward County to bring in plenty of customers. It would be very easy for anyone traveling down 595 to make a quick detour to grab something (like some tea, for example) at your store if you do end up near this intersection.

Best of luck!

Is that by The Fountains (University and Peters)? That's a nice area that attracts people from the western suburbs nearby. Lots of medical and professional office buildings in the area too, with employees and that should generate some nice foot traffic.

Hiatus and Pines also is nice -- that's by the mall and near several nice Pembroke Pines neighborhoods. There's also some office buildings nearby too.

Neither area, IMHO, is particularly touristy. You'd be targeting the suburbanites of west Broward in either location and I think one of the main factors would be demographics -- I suspect the Pines location would lean more Hispanic than Plantation/Davie. If that's a plus (or minus) in your opinion, then that can give you perhaps a piece of the answer. I would say both areas are located near nice middle/upper middle class income neighborhoods and would rate them about equal. Decisions decisions....

It is a nice overall plaza. Lots of traffic. Whole Foods just opened there, it was a pandemonium in the parking lot.

Not the Fountains. And not Peters (That's where Whole Foods used to be.) Now WF is just south of I-595, where Bed Bath and Beyond is.

Actually OP mentioned Michael's. That's not the same plaza where the new Whole Foods is. Michaels is in the Tower Shops plaza. Also nice
