These are probably the top 3 family suburbs in S. Florida (yeah, they do exist). Cooper City has been ranked one of the top 10 family communities in the country by parenting magazine. I think it had to be asked.

Weston. Cooper City is a nice place but some areas aren't as pretty as others. Parkland is nice but it's pretty far from Miami / Fort Lauderdale and it's a bit too rural for me.

I like Weston, its a nice city for families.
BTW isn't this entire forum about Miami City? City-Data Forum> U.S. Forums > Florida > Miami > Miami City Forum what are these cities doing on this thread? |

No, this forum includes the greater Miami area.

It wouldn't be a bad idea if we had a little subtitle for the forum. I noticed on the TN forum for example under the "Tri Cities" it named the cities. Maybe we could get a subtitle saying "including outer suburbs and Broward County"? PBC deserves some attention too as it gets more inquiries than Dade and Broward which are slowing in growth.

Parkland is the only one I've visited, but I have to say that I love what I saw. The people were very friendly, seemed well-educated, and it had a unique, "country-esque" flavor that is lacking in so many areas of South Florida. It has certainly earned PBCBoy's Approved Badge of Honor.

Compelled to reply's golden seal of distinction goes to all three
, but Weston gets the platinum seal here. Southwest Ranches also earns the golden seal. In city dining and shopping and central location seal the deal for me for Weston. Davie and Pinecrest get the silver seal. Coral Springs and Pembroke Pines earn the semi-precious approved seal of distinction.I wonder which one would be tallrick approved, if any! Quote:

I voted Parkland, because I live in the next city over. I pass through it constantly. Even though it may seem rural, it's rural for a few minutes, but surrounded by suburbia more so. You've got Coral Springs on one side, Coconut Creek on the other, and Boca not too far.

I like Weston because it's surrounded by the everglades on two sides and surrounded by horse ranches (Davie, SW Ranches) on the other two sides. Parkland is a nice little spot within the suburbia. Both have an advantage in that sense of being surrounded by nice areas and not just being "enclaves".
