I have a perfect analysis, and have been contemplating exactly what OP has asked. I think I can break it down perfectly. But be warned... it ain't PC by any stretch of the imagination:

Parkland = Affluent New Yorkers who think they are rednecks
Coral Springs = Rednecks who think they are affluent New Yorkers
Coconut Creek = Stoners and cookie-cutter middle-class families (AKA TWILIGHT ZONE)
Pompano Beach = Little Detroit
Oakland Park = Little Camden
Deerfield Beach = The Three Deadly S's (Seniors, Stoners & Surfers), Oh And With A Sprinkle Of Trailer Trash In Between
Margate = Rundown infrastructure and aspiring gangbangers
Tamarac = This is retiree paradise, but where the hell are the beaches? S***, wrong retirement home
Lighthouse Point = Conservatives who own yachts
Sunrise = A diverse, eclectic, sprawling waste of space
Plantation = More cookie-cutter housing and endless strip malls
Davie = Interesting mix of trashy urban hicks and classy rural professionals
Cooper City = Davie, if their trashy hicks made a fortune and converted to Judaism
Miramar = If Tony Montana owned a home in the 'burbs
Weston = If Tony Montana owned a mansion in the 'burbs
Southwest Ranches = A little rural utopia for the cultured rednecks of Parkland who want a shorter drive to nightlife
FORT LAUDERDALE = The sanest city of them all
Dania Beach = A melting pot of... druggies and... ghetto whites....... oh, and that historic ice cream store as well
Hollywood = Snowbirds, poor minorities, Russians and hip youths too poor to make it to Miami
Hallandale Beach = Wannabe Hollywood... but without the amenities
Pembroke Pines = Middle-class Latin Americans... much like Miramar, but saner
Wilton Manors = The vast, sprawling bathhouse (AKA hell for a straight man)
Lauderdale Lakes = Poor minorities and broke white men
Lauderhill = See: the city directly above
North Lauderdale = Margate, but even seedier

I think I've summed up all the cities and major CDPs (I deliberately chose to leave out MOST of the coastal/island cities (i.e. Hillsboro Beach, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea), because I see the island between Miami Beach and Jupiter Island as predominantly homogeneous in identity.

I do like your description of Davie, lol. I think it's actually very much accurate and just the way I like it.

West Plantation = old money, but tons of it
Weston = new money (newly rich), still lots

Both snobby places

I beg to differ. It's very alive and well. I found out myself last Saturday at the Alligator Ron Wingfest.
