Default Hollywood to Fort Lauderdale Commute

I am moving to The Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale area. I will be working in downtown Fort Lauderdale, and am wondering what the commute is like from Hollywood to Fort Lauderdale in the AM/PM. It says 15 minutes on google maps... so Im guessing around 30 in rush hour... am I way off... and would I be better off just living in Fort Lauderdale?

Your better off living close to work no matter what, but 15 minutes is about right. An accident can push it closer to 25. The north-south roads/highways move pretty well, but make sure you have the capacity to dodge the terrible drivers on I-95!
