PS sorry, can't give you a break, but let me know if you would like a comma.
You thought wrong, not my problem. Just to clarify, Fort Lauderdale is a city in Florida, not Arizona.

Pointing it out because from the tone of your posts you didn't seem to be aware of the fact. Again, Fort Lauderdale is in Florida, not Arizona.

Note to people reading this forum: All posts with "real estate agent" stamped on them should be taken with a grain of salt. Someone trying to sell you something is NOT your friend and will tell you anything to get their commission.

Work, plus I had never lived outside of NH, and wanted to try somewhere new.

I'm not pointing to anyone specific.. but anyone using these forums looking for information needs to keep this in mind and be careful.

I have generally found the agents on this forum (at least the long term ones) to be totally fair and accurate in their posts. It's the new ones that pop up looking for sales that are problematic but the Moderators tend to whack them pretty quick.

As for a comment earlier about the summers in South Florida being "miserably" hot and humid - I fully disagree. I don't find them miserable at all. Modern technology called air conditioning. And when I go outside, I focus on activities that are practical for the weather, like jet ski, pool, etc. I find it quite fun to get outside, get hot, then jump in the pool to refresh. Miserable, no.

Even when it is 150F outside?

There is air conditioning where you live that can control outdoor temperatures? Where are you at?

I also forgot that everyone can afford to have jet skis and pools.

Exactly. My previous job in an office environment was so frigid, that every day year-round I'd wear a long-sleeve polo shirt with sweatpants underneath my workpants from home to work...even when my shift began in the hottest part of the afternoon in the dead of summer. But you know what? I survived the short walks from the apartment to the car (not unbearable inside with darker tints and a reflective sunshade), and from the car to the job.

I could think of a far more miserable environment to live in, which we fortunately don't have to deal with.
