The move back to FL is very unexpected, as I was in the proccess of looking for a new house when I was given warning about my current job. My gf could not find a job here, has been unemployed for 12 months. The job I relocated to Tx for is not doing so well, and my old job in FL offered my job back to me. There's really no such thing as stability these days, but I know my job in Fl will be a safer place for me.

San Antone is much different than what I expected it to be. I love the winding roads and hills. People here are friendly, but very laid back. Coming from Fl I stick out like a sore thumb though, people here are not very diverse. They are a couple of years behind the times. Great place to raise a family, not a very good place for someone who is used to the SFl night life like myself.

Question west of Riverland & 441

In the early 70's I lived just west of where Riverland dead-ended into 441. There was a big nursery at the on the west side of 441 and I lived just behind that. Then it was a nice middle class neighborhood of duplexs and single family homes. Can anyone tell how that neighborhood is now? Does that neighborhood have a name?
