Looking for rentals under $1000 that are safe areas. A lot of the places between $800-1000 are ghetto places with junkies and crazies which I'd like to avoid. I'd like to have a place where I can live peacefully without worrying about getting robbed, raped or killed. I need to know the bad areas in west broward so we know to avoid them.

What you're looking for in that area doesn't exist.

You're either going to have to increase your rent budget, or decrease your expectations. You can't have it both ways.

Then I might invest in a conceal carry license and some protection dogs. Thanks.

Which will cost you money as well... Why not increase your rental budget a bit and forget about guns and dogs?

We can't afford rent over $1000 right now until bf's friend gets a job and we are looking to move out next month. I only need something for protection.

Just don't move if you can't afford to without living in a bad neighborhood.

I wen to look at a building where a condo was listed for a low price in Sunrise. I went at night and I did not like the area and would not live there for free.

Am I reading this correctly? You have at least 3 people and you can't afford anything over $1,000/mo? That sounds like a recipe for disaster.
