I'm 50 years old, single, and planning to move to South Florida (from NYC).
I was looking at the new apartment complexes in and around Las Olas/Flagler Village.
I work in Technology and don't really need to commute daily, but rather will get on flights once per month.
My tastes are not interesting; I like to golf, hang around the beach/pool, and go to outdoor restaurants/lounges, etc. (which honestly makes me not that interesting or cultured; whatever, I am what I am.)
Any advice you can provide on the Flagler Village area vs. another area North or South would be greatly appreciated. If you hate this area I would like to hear that also.
Thank you in advance for your local knowledge.

I live at the Manor at Flagler Village and it is really nice. Everything is within walking distance (or even "roll out of the bed" distance).

The Edge is also a very nice building. And also the AMLI building has been spruced up recently.

The Manor and Edge have the same management company now, and they are always on top of everything.

If you want to be practically on Las Olas for a little more $$, then Amaray is very nice.

Hope I'm not veering this thread off too much, but for someone single in the 35-50 age range, what are good neighborhoods in Fort Lauderdale?
Something that's not overrun with seniors or wild 20 somethings.
