Hi I am considering moving into the Village at Sailboat Bend. I just recently moved from LA. Back in 2008 I live in another condo on Las Olas. But moving back I need more space, a quite, nice safe area and for it to be less expensive. Is the area safe? Has it become rundown? I would like to know if anyone knows of any confirmed crime events and if so please tell me about them? Thanks a lot!

Sailboat Bend from what I understand is a decent area but if crime is a serious factor it might not be the best option since on the other side of Broward blvd is a rought neighborhood and there is likely some spillover crime.

I actually like the neighborhood quite a bit because of the older homes with lush landscaping, reminds me a bit of Southeast Coconut Grove. Not sure where the Village is at but it's probably a good idea to do a drive through of the area and see what it's like, especially at night.

Default Village at Sailboat Bend

Good evening

I just joined this forum

I suggest you check some of the many websites which provide crime data and/or call the local police station for info; you can even give them a complex name/address and find out what happens near by...
