This forum could use a chat thread like the other forums have. Maybe Keeper could sticky it as usual?
. I would also like to use this thread to ask who our moderator is. |

I was at the fashion mall late last year. When I went in there EVERYTHING was closed except for two or three trinket shops on the bottom floor. Everything else was Dr. Offices (i guess thats what was on the 3rd floor). There is also some burger joint that is still open but man the food is the worse I have ever had. And the smell was ridiculous. |

Wild style, I threw the mall discussion on the chat thread. I don't wanna ruin their thread.

Welcome to 321 North I only glanced at your reply. Metropica is a similar type of development they wanted to build in Sunrise by the Sawgrass. They still "Want" to do it but, um, Sunrise City Hall... |

That part of Plantation is one of my favorite areas. Right after Sailboat bend that is. The house I was in, was not even 5 blocks from there. I used to love to ride my bike late at night around the fig tree lane area. As for that 321 north thing, if they do that they better make those apartments and later convert them to condos, other wise that will flop. |

I agree. I'd be wondering if their financing is going to allow them to build it in the first place. Our property was supposed to have been bought by a medium sized development company as part of a 70 million dollar project (that included those 28 acres next door to me) and their credit line was frozen for 60 days. Not a good sign. This real estate mess is really bad. We had 50% equity as recently as Winter 2005 - that has now shrunk to 20%. If someone who had 50% equity is afraid of being upside down in a mortgage, what's being reported in the news doesn't begin to grasp the problem. I think this is going to get a lot worse before it gets better...I just wish I wasn't stuck - I'm a nomad -I hate living in any one house longer than 4 or 5 years...And, at least we don't HAVE to move - those are the people who will be really hurt ![]() |
