Not to mention that there are plenty of other smarty pants who are doing exactly the same, cutting out at 4:45.

Well, it is not simply on the beach... It is in Bal Harbor.

uhhhh lol correct. I was warned over and over about how bad my commute would be, and yes I took a "plunge" - (no plunge at all actually ... no-brainer multi-level career move, but anyway) - and again, I drive to work everyday in 38 minutes. Exactly what my GPS said on day 1, and exactly what it is Every. Single. Day. when I drive in.

So. Therefore. When I leave in the morning and I switch addresses to the new one and my GPS says 49 minutes, that's what it's going to be.

Like lol, again, it's not that I don't like what you're saying, or that it doesn't "sound good" to me, it's just that it's highly annoying when someone tells me that my reality isn't true.

I'm pretty sure it is. Man if it's worst down there than here in Atlanta, then that must be some wild traffic!

So why start this thread if you have it all figured out and will just balk at any response? The only thing people have done doing has been responding to your queries while the only thing you have been doing is balking at posts that don't agree with your "reality", which is the entirety of this thread.

I started the thread asking about places to live beachside in Ft Lauderdale?

Like did you even read the post, or the title?

I certainly wasn't the one who kept going on and on about traffic. On page one that's all anyone wanted to focus on for some reason. And I barely got any answers about my original question, so I'm assuming Ft Lauderdale isn't worth it. Therefore staying where I am I suppose, and trying to figure out best commute times since I have no choice.

Jesus, maybe what they say about South Floridians IS true. Sheesh.

Yes , it is totally true: we are all rude, self-centered, uneducated, transient SOBs here.

It is what it is. Ft Lauderdale isn't anything like Miami Beach. Just saying.
