In order to save some money to buy a home in the future we may rent an apartment. But I have been reading the apartment ratings in Plantation and Davie, where we are looking to move eventually....and the ratings scare me
What gives? Does anyone live in a nice, safe, and clean complex around there?? Help!

No go to Plantation
I was just out there over Easter & looked at several rental places in the $1500. range. The places we looked at were pretty grungy, not nice and I would not want to deal with that traffic. There probably are some nicer places, but you'll have to spend a lot more.

Actually rents are really low now. Accidental landlords are trying to pay the bills on their investments. That's probably why some complexs looks so shady, the low lifes are getting deals. But hopefully the market will turn, and all is well again. I bought a place in the area, which I live in, but you gotta see the constant flow of tenants in these rental units, scary bunch.
